At YMCA Calgary, JOY isn’t just a feeling, it’s a tradition. As we enter the 5th season of our JOY Day celebrations on December 3, we had the chance to chat with Christy Repchuk, our Director of Fund Development, about the inspiration behind this special day and its lasting impact on our community.

Every year, YMCA Calgary hosts our volunteer fitness instructors at the YMCA Fitness Leadership Conference to provide them with continued education, to develop their community and camaraderie, as well as provide them with some inspiration to bring to their next group fitness classes.

National Philanthropy Day (NPD) is a special day set aside on the fifteenth of November every year. The purpose of this day is to recognize the great contributions of philanthropy — and those people active in the philanthropic community — to the enrichment of our world.
